
You live, work, study or are for a longer period in a country other than Romania and it is that moment in which you need the BT card as soon as possible (the physical, debit one) - either a brand new one, or a reissued one because yours has expired or you have lost it.
I have prepared useful information about how you can have the card, whether you are already a client or you want to become one by taking even the first steps 100% remotely.
If you are a BT client and use the BT Pay application:
We help you receive the card in any country and activate it remotely, and until then have access to the same card, but digital:
- First step: please call us at +40264 303 003 (BT Call Center team).
- Access to the digital card: within a maximum of 24 hours you can add the requested new card, in the digital version, in BT Pay/other wallets, which you can use immediately (for online payments, POS payments, etc.) and before receiving the physical card.
- We send your card by courier and you receive it in 3 – 5 days (shipping cost: 200 lei/request).
- How to activate the card, also remotely: after you receive the card (the physical one), please call us for activation at +40264 303 003 (also at the BT Call Center team).
If you want to become a BT client, you can do it through the BT Pay application, wherever you are:

- When requesting the card in BT Pay, fill in the delivery address of the physical card in the application, so we know where to send the physical one.
- The card arrives to you by courier, in 3 – 5 days. If you are in Italy, Spain, Germany, Great Britain or the Republic of Moldova you don't have to pay anything for shipping (e from the house because we at BT take care of the shipping cost, it is a welcome gift at our bank).
- How to activate the physical card: after you receive it, please call us for activation at +40264 303 003 (BT Call Center team).

- Transfer from other cards that you enroll in the application, issued by banks and fintechs from abroad or from Romania;
- Transfer from other users of the application.
- By transfer to account from any other bank.
Physical card vs digital card
We support remote banking solutions because they help all of us manage our money much more easily. But we know that sometimes a physical card is needed where you cannot pay with your phone or because your phone has run out of battery.
Of course, the digital version of the card has its advantages – you can use the digital card immediately after requesting a card online, before you have the physical card; the risk of losing it is lower and, last but not least, the digital card does not get demagnetized 😊. So it is best to have the card in both versions – physical and digital.
