
If you have a passport issued for persons residing abroad and want to become our client, we have good news for you: from now on, you can open an account with Banca Transilvania 100% online, directly from BT Pay, including based on the Romanian passport. For now, this applies to accounts in euros and lei.
Until now, anyone wishing to become a BT client needed only a Romanian identity card.
Free Diaspora Subscription
When you open an account, you automatically receive the Diaspora subscription for free, with benefits both in the country where you live and in Romania: advantages for accounts and cards, payments and ATM cash withdrawals abroad, as well as preferential conditions for currency exchange.
When you open the account, you get immediate access in BT Pay to the card digital in euros, BT Mastercard Direct. You can also issue your digital card in lei, BT Visa Classic, directly from the app, and later receive the physical cards at your desired address or pick them up from a BT branch.
As part of the offer dedicated to new customers, you can benefit from 5% cashback on card payments, up to 100 euros, and if you choose to save in lei or euros, you can also benefit from doubling the interest for the first month of saving, in campaign terms.
