Whether they live in Romania or abroad, more and more Romanians choose to save simply, through small daily gestures. Today, over 500,000 BT Pay users use Round Up, the feature that turns every payment with one of the BT debit cards into an opportunity to set money aside.
Interest in this solution has grown a lot in recent years: the number of those who save through Round Up is nearly seven times higher than three years ago, a sign that automatic saving is becoming an increasingly appreciated habit among our clients, regardless of where they are.
Everyday payment savings, anywhere in the world
Round Up works for payments made with BT debit cards in lei, both in Romania and abroad, at POS or online. With each transaction, the difference resulting from rounding the amount is automatically transferred to a Round Up savings account, which comes with an interest rate of 3%. The accumulated savings can be tracked at any time from BT Pay and can be quickly transferred to the current account, directly from the app.
Round Up is one of BT's most used saving solutions:
- 7 out of 10 clients who have savings accounts at Banca Transilvania also use Round Up.
- Over 12,000 people activate this feature every month.
- 31% of users are between 18 and 26 years old, and 34% between 27 and 42 years old.
- A client saves, on average, approximately 200 lei per month.
